Under general direction from the County Executive Officer, the Assistant County Executive Officer plans, organizes and supervises the work of staff involved in general administrative activities of the County and serves in the absence of the County Executive Officer. The County of Nevada is seeking an approachable, forward-facing, engaged, and innovative Assistant County Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will be a successful leader with executive management experience and excellent political acumen. Communication and an ability to build a high level of trust with the County Executive Officer, Board of Supervisors, the senior leadership team, and staff is essential. A decisive candidate with a depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in government operations, labor negotiations, board policy, project management, and organizational structure is sought.

The annual salary range is $180,207.84 - $219,996.60; Placement within the range is negotiable and dependent upon experience and qualifications. The County of Nevada also offers an attractive benefits package.
