The West Basin Municipal Water District (West Basin) serves a population of nearly a million people living within 17 cities in the South Bay, as well as unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, California. West Basin is seeking a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills, political acumen, and a strong technical background to serve as the next Assistant General Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in customer service and is familiar with current developments that impact water resources. Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, public administration, business administration, civil administration, political science, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university and ten (10) of increasingly responsible experience in the water industry, including five (5) years of management and administrative responsibility. Possession of a valid California Driver’s License is to be maintained throughout employment. A Master’s degree is highly desired.

The annual salary range for the Assistant General Manager is $200,047 - $275,056; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
