The new City Manager will join a well-established and thriving local municipality. The City Manager will create, maintain, and enhance relationships and partnerships within the community and serve as a leader in representing the City of San Rafael on regional challenges and issues, working with other Marin County agencies, special districts, and strategic partners. The City Manager is responsible for carrying out the policy and directions of the Mayor and City Council and supports the Council`s efforts to engage in legislative advocacy on the local, state, and national levels, advocating the City`s interests and increasing the City`s influence as a leader in good government. The new City Manager will lead a vibrant and dedicated staff while addressing the myriad of challenges that impact local government today.
