The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District, located in Davis, CA, has jurisdiction over all of Yolo County and the northeast portion of Solano County, which includes Rio Vista, Dixon, and a portion of Vacaville. The District has a mission of protecting human health and property from the harmful effects of air pollution, believing that every person has the right to clean air, every day. Yolo-Solano has a rich agricultural heritage, and works with farmers every day to ensure their work doesn’t impair the air quality. The District is seeking an organized, collaborative, and solution oriented Executive Director. The new Executive Director will have strong commitment to the District and must have passion and aptitude for their work and the mission of the organization. The ideal candidate will be clear and articulate with the ability to interact with a variety of groups within the community. They will be trusted to make quality decisions and ensure accountability. Along with these qualities, the Executive Director must also be a public servant that is community oriented and organizationally savvy. A candidate who is mission driven, personable and confident will be successful. Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Health, or a closely related field, and five (5) years of experience in a leadership role for an organization or department within an organization, which includes experience with a board; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. A Master’s Degree in Public Administration or Business Administration is highly desirable. Experience in air quality program management is highly desirable.

The annual salary range for the Air Pollution Control Officer / Executive Director is $210,000 to $224,000 and placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience. The District also offers an outstanding benefits package.
