The East Bay Regional Park District (EBRPD) is a system of beautiful parklands and trails in Alameda and Contra Costa counties east of San Francisco. The system comprises 119,000 acres in 65 parks, including over 1,250 miles of trails. The District is seeking an innovative, strategic leader and administrator with demonstrated and verifiable experience in understanding the complexities of a large organization’s financial responsibilities, and effectively managing all aspects of financial reporting, payroll, accounts payable and general accounting. The ideal candidate must be a results-oriented manager and problem solver. Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in governmental/fund accounting or financial administration, including two (2) years of supervisory responsibility. A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or a current license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) may be accepted as an equivalent to a maximum of two of the required five years of experience.
The annual salary range for the Assistant Finance Officer position is $143,374.32 to $182,935.92; placement within this range is dependent on qualifications and experience.
