The California State Legislature is a bicameral legislative body made up of a lower and upper house, the State Assembly and State Senate. Both houses convene at the State Capitol in Sacramento to draft legislation subsequently sent to the Governor`s desk to become law. The California State Assembly is seeking a visionary and innovative Equity Advisor that has experience dealing with highly sensitive, complex, and political situations. The ideal candidate has high political acumen, is patient and understanding, and is effective in building strong working relationships and partnerships. The successful candidate has experience transforming and advancing equity by working in partnership with the community, stakeholders, peers, and officials. They are results oriented and will offer new ideas while welcoming feedback.
Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, or equivalent relevant work experience and five (5) years of experience in outreach initiatives and/or diversity recruitment efforts, including attracting and maintaining a diverse workforce. Qualified candidates also have experience in project management and in the public sector environment. The annual salary range for this position is $102,084 to $154,548 and placement within this range is dependent on experience and qualifications.
