The County of San Bernardino is seeking candidates with interest in the position of Director of Economic Development. Located in the heart of Southern California, the County of San Bernardino is the largest county in the contiguous United States and is known for its scenic beauty and strategic location. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, innovative, visionary, and results-driven individual that can build and lead successful team and cultivate trusting, sustainable relationships. As a minimum requirement, candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in business of public administration, economics, behavioral science, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Five (5) or more years of executive or management level experience in economic development, community development or redevelopment activities for the public sector is required; local government experience within a complex, multifaceted economic development work environment is highly desired. The annual base salary range for the Director of Economic Development is $123,219.20-$166,296.00; placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
