The City of Elk Grove is seeking a highly experienced, tech-savvy candidate for the Finance Director position who has the strength of character and depth of knowledge to inspire and lead the Finance Division’s talented, dedicated staff. The selected candidate will be highly organized, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Any combination of education and experience that has provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for this position is qualifying. Typically, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field; CPA preferred; and seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting or municipal finance, including three (3) years of administrative and management responsibility. The annual salary range for the incoming Finance Director is $145,407 - $194,872; placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
