The City of Jurupa Valley is a special city characterized by its small-town feeling, exceptional natural beauty, and distinctive communities. The City is currently seeking candidates who are interested in the position of Public Works Director/City Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinking, solution-oriented individual with a balance of technical skills and personal attributes to provide effective leadership and supervision and coordinate the activities of a municipal department in a high-growth organization. Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. The typical candidate will have graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and will possess five (5) years of management and/or administrative experience in public works and/or engineering in a municipal setting, including three (3) years of experience in overseeing the development of capital improvement and land development projects. Candidates must also possess and maintain a Registered Professional Civil Engineer license in the State of California. The salary range for the Public Works Director/City Engineer position is: $120,076-$177,407; placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
