The California Water Data Consortium is a nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law of the State of California for charitable purposes. The Consortium was formed in July 2019 to support the implementation of the Open and Transparent Water Data Act. The Consortium is seeking a creative, collaborative, and strategic leader to serve as its Chief Executive Officer. The CEO will join a vibrant new institution with a compelling mission to unlock water data in California to vastly improve transparency and decision-making. Candidates must possess at least 10 years of professional experience with extensive knowledge around water resources and data management or analytics. The successful candidate will have significant experience building network-based organizations or coalitions working with local, state, or federal government agencies. A proven record of working with a Board of Directors or other committee structures to design and lead a process requiring collaboration and coordination amongst parties with diverse backgrounds and desired outcomes will be highly valued. Salary is commensurate with experience and negotiated with final candidates.
