The City of Palo Alto is excited to be recruiting for a passionate, inspiring, and dynamic Assistant Director of Administrative Services. As a critical member of the City’s leadership team, the Assistant Director has the unique opportunity to lead innovative solutions to financial, programmatic, and operational challenges encountered on the job. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in all aspects of municipal finance coupled with a general understanding of city operations. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and eight (8) years of related experience, including five (5) years of management level experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Master’s degree is preferred. CPA certification desirable. The salary range for the Assistant Director of Administrative Services $145,142 - $217,713 annually; placement within the range is dependent upon qualifications.
