The City of Moreno Valley (population just over 212,000) is a progressive and diverse city with a bright future. Strategically located in the western portion of Riverside County, Moreno Valley is about an hour’s drive east of Los Angeles, west of Palm Springs, and north of San Diego. While maintaining its friendly small-town attitude, the 50-square-mile community boasts big-city amenities including contemporary retail destinations and neighborhood shopping centers. The City is seeking an Electric Utility Chief Engineer to oversee workflow and participate in the development of the Electric Utility’s work plan; projects and programs; and supervise the development and administration of the Utility. The Electric Utility Chief Engineer is a new position for the City within the Moreno Valley Utility under the Financial and Management Services Department. The position will be expected to play a critical role in the oversight and management of operations and engineering functions, in addition to serving as second-in-command for the Electric Utility. The salary for the Electric Utility Chief Engineer is $126,663 - $178,334 annually, depending upon qualifications and experience.
