Ms. Jamsen brings over 33 years of local government experience to the firm. She retired as Chief of Police from California State University, San Bernardino, prior to joining Bob Murray and Associates. Nina also served the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in the capacity as a Police Chief for the cities of Loma Linda and Grand Terrace.
Ms. Jamsen has a strong leadership reputation in the public sector in the Inland Empire. Throughout her six-and-a-half-year tenure as a Police Chief, she implemented major forward-thinking changes to her agency. Her philosophy was driven by strong community-oriented policing, guided by 21st Century policing pillars. Ms. Jamsen has extensive experience in recruiting, selecting, and promoting a diverse and inclusive work force. She has participated in numerous search committees involving various department heads in the public sector and has had first-hand experience interviewing, selecting, and promoting candidates. Nina was recognized as a Pioneer Woman in 2017 by the City of San Bernardino and as a Woman of Distinction in 2019 by the 40th District of the California State Assembly.
Ms. Jamsen obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Criminal Justice from the University of West Virginia, earned her teaching credential from San Bernardino State University, and graduated the FBI National Academy.
Nina is a proud Finnish native, first generation college graduate, and is fluent in Swedish and Finnish.
